8.00 - 8.30 – Children arrive at preschool

8.30 - 11.00 – This is the “work period” in which activities are freely chosen. During this time the Directresses present Montessori materials to individual children and record their progress. They may also hold a more formal “group” in which lessons are given, projects are introduced and themes are discussed. Snack is taken during this time, but on Fridays we like to have a group snack with both classes in the main school whenever we can.

11.15 - 11.45 – Free indoor/outdoor play, supervised by staff.

11.45 - 12.00 – Singing, music, group games and drama

12.00 - 12.15 – Story time

12.15 - 12.30 – School morning ends.  Children are fetched unless they are in Aftercare.

12.30 - 17.00 – Aftercare is provided on an ad hoc or regular basis at a separate rate.
